J Reunion

This reunion is always one of my favorite summer activities. I love being around family and if there's one thing the Jackson's are good at it would be making each other laugh. We were lucky enough that we got to stay in Idaho for a week. We had such a good time that we never wanted to leave.
The highlight of the reunion was when all of my siblings and their spouses played in the bounce house. Too bad it was too dark to get pictures because I'd have some great black mail. They waxed the slide so we all flew down like nobody's business. It was awesome.

Emme was in bounce house heaven.

Love that happy smile.

My France cousins came to visit.  Right after seeing them two years ago, we found out we were getting Emme and they found out they were pregnant after years of trying.  We were so excited to meet each others little girls.

This is what you get when you steal my camera.  Your mug on my blog.

I'm sure this picture was taken after she pulled her hair out a few times.  Love the look of kids after a long day of playing.

Girl's Camp

I do always enjoy girl's camp, but this was the first time going while being a mom. I had some anxiety leaving Emme for four days, but knew I needed to go to bond with my girls. Once I got there and was busy I relaxed quite a bit. I knew she was in good hands at home.

The greenies. Poor girls had to wear this stuff all week.

We have a lot of BYU fans in our ward so I had to get a picture with my fellow Utes girl.

After our skit.

Me and the first counselor. We have bonded big time and sadly she is moving soon. Don't worry, I totally bawled my eyes out when I found out.

Yuba 2012

Due to conflicting schedules we went to Yuba Lake a few months earlier this year.  The water was still too high to camp on the beach, but it meant water and electricity which is fine by me.  It was a little cold and pretty windy as Yuba usually is, but we were still in great company and had a great time.

We realized Emme has already outgrown all the swimsuits we had planned for her this summer.

A little break for lunch.

I was super worried about Emme diving into the water, but soon realized Emme wanted nothing to do with it.  It was too cold for her.

Flying kites.

Walking back to our campsite.

Birthday Part Deux

I finally download a gazillion pictures from my camera so I thought you would all just love for me to back track to my birthday.  It's just that special.  Plus, I do share it with some amazing girls.

Cousin Drama

Gregg and I have been having way too much fun this summer. By that I mean we've had so much fun it's been hard to go back to the daily grind. I have some fun posts coming, but until then I had to share a progression of pics of Emme with her two cousins. They made me laugh when I looked back on them. Emme kept climbing up the side of the play house and we kept asking her to get down so "A" thought she'd take matters into her own hands.

Emme proud of herself for getting to her destination. "A"s hand slowing raising.

"Excuse me mom, are you going to let her do this?"

"A" giving the mom look.

"oh no you didn't"

Mission accomplished.

These three are so hilarious together. I can only imagine the mischief they'll get into.

My SIL snapped this picture during the prayer. I only wish you could hear Emme's loud "AMEN!"

Dad's Are...

The bomb.com! Especially this one.

We love you!

Lava Hot Springs

We had the opportunity to stay at my brother's cabin over Memorial Day weekend. We had an absolute blast even though it rained for two straight days. It was still nice to get away and enjoy the mountains while staying in a luxury cabin...of course. Despite the downpour we were able to fit in lots of four wheeling and a swim at the hot pools. Here's hoping we get invited lots more times....hint hint.

The scenery is gorgeous there. Do I look like a pro?

We took a stop to enjoy the view. It reminded me of the book How Green Was My Valley. Seriously breathtaking.

We even took Emme on a short ride. Yes, I was a worried mom the whole time. She was in heaven.

She fell asleep about 5 minutes into it and didn't wake up until we got back. She must have been pretty comfy snuggled between her mom and dad.
