Perfect Moments

Summer vacations/outings are always something to look forward to, but some of my favorite moments this summer were when we had no where to go.  Why?  Well, because...

It was the times when Emme explored her own backyard and became a pro on the trampoline.  That girl has some crazy balance.

It was the times when she became more of a daddy's girl.

It was the times when neighborhood kids came to play.

It was the times when Emme got dirty and had already pulled out her hair for the day.

It was the times where I sat back and admired Gregg as a dad.

It was the times where I became more thankful.

This particular night was all of those times.

"HI BUG!  Do you want to jump?"

Jones Family Campout

She looks so big in this picture.

Emme's favorite toy.

G unit

Her second favorite toy.

We had a nail party and Emme was in heaven.  I swear it's the only time I can get her to sit down.

She loves the outdoors.

Down time in the trailer.

Enjoying the fire with Grammy.

Gorgeous camping spot.

Gregg getting some cuddles from our niece.

24th Parade

Have I mentioned we like Parades?

Emme loves grandpas and had no problems making buddies with Gregg's uncle.

Perfect Moments

I caught Emme playing the piano with my Cabbage Patch Doll that I had when I was a little girl.

Bee's Game

While my niece and nephew were still visiting us for the Foster the People concert we decided to keep up the title of BEST AUNT AND UNCLE and take them to the Bee's baseball game. We sat on the grass knowing Emme would never sit still in a seat. It was perfect. She even made a few new friends.

We got to sit on the field and watch the fireworks after the game.

Forever Friends

I lost another friend this summer due to moving. Pretty sad day. This group of girls is getting smaller and smaller. We are the kind of friends that have survived being separated through college and missions so I know we'll always be close no matter how many miles apart we are. So goodbye for now Venita. We will miss you dearly!

Bountiful Days

Gregg and I really try to make it to as many parades and fireworks shows as possible.  For Bountiful Days we got to meet up with a bunch of my "Utah family" and watch the parade and join together at my cousin's grave site to enjoy the fireworks.  It's a tradition and one we're happy to be a part of from now on.

Two of my cousins literally laid their bodies down in the wee hours of the morning to save us a spot.

"Candy over here please!"

2000 Stripling Warriors.  Yes, there really were 2000 maybe more.

Our beautiful spot to watch the fireworks.

Emme kept saying "night, night."  Poor girl was tired.

The In Club

The Rhouse featured this video today and I have to say I'm in love with it.

Getting to see Emme's birth family this weekend has me giddy and thankful for an open adoption.

One of my favorite parts is when he talks about his biological siblings.
Emme is our daughter, and our daughter has a brother and a sister. They all have the same beautiful big blue eyes. We love them and someday when Emme understands it all she will too.

Zoo Dee Coo

While Cam and Kelsey were still staying with us we went to the zoo for our other nieces birthday. They have some cool new exhibits since we were there last time.

Emme chatting with her cousin.

All the cousins on Gregg's side. So cute!

Aunt Staci.

Emme did NOT want to take this picture due to some Cheerios awaiting for her in her stroller so this was the best picture we got next to the giraffes.

An almost two year old's temper. Winding up for the hit. It was about this point I realized she just wanted some cheerios. BAD! So funny.

Riding the carousel like a pro.

Can't leave the zoo without seeing how much we've grown.

2 1/2 months difference. She's looking more an more like a little girl. Love her long legs.

The train was disappointing, but Emme enjoyed it.

Pumped Up Concert

We were invited to attend Foster the People on my nephews birthday. Or as I call them Monster the Peep Hole. It's probably been ten years since I've been to a concert that you're smashed up against someone's sweaty body who you don't know. I think the older you get the more you need some personal space. We had a lot of fun and came out of it with a lot of respect for Mark Foster and a desire to attend more concerts (enjoyed from a safe distance from the pit next time).

Trying to look "hipster". I think the blue haired guy showed us up.

Pre-concert.

Squished! We got to know each other on a new level.

The Fourth Of July

It's probably been since I lived in Idaho that I've been to the square festivities in my home town so Gregg and I decided to take some time off and stay through the fourth. We started things off with fireworks the Saturday before and had a great relaxing time playing on the farm until the holiday.

Sage likes to sit in her new sister's car seat.  So funny.

How to entertain toddlers before the show.

Playing on the square.

She loves this girl.

Excited about the horses.

She was so tired after the parade that she almost fell asleep on aunt Kashayla.  In the second picture she's giving me an annoyed look for bugging her.  You don't mess with Emme's sleep.

What summer is all about.
Pool Time!

Sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows.

She loves fireworks just like her momma.
