How Great Thou Art

This video is definitely worth sitting down to watch. They have amazing voices!

The Trevor Tree

So I just had to brag about my cousin Trevor because he made this wonderful tree for the festival of trees in Utah. As you can see it's a Alice in Wonderland tree and he hand made all the ornaments, except of course the bulbs. He is such an amazing artist and we're lucky to have him in our family. They invited me to help out with decorating the tree, but Carla and I mainly sat back and watched Trevor work his magic. I just thought you all would like to see it. I hope you enjoy!

Photo Gallery

I just thought I would post some pictures that Stacey took of Gregg and me. We were going to send out some cards this year, but things have been so crazy I haven't gotten to it yet so I'll see if I get around to it. I was also told by a client you just don't do stuff like that until you have kids....haha. So I hope you still enjoy our family of two!

B is for Blake and Baptism!

We got to attend two Baptisms in our family this year, one for Teagan in July and one for Blake last weekend. I of course forgot my camera for Teagan's, but I got a cute picture of both of them at Blake's. What a great experience to see our nephews grow up and make good choices. At Teagan's baptism I asked how long it would take him until he made a mistake and he said "never"! I don't know if he stayed true to that, but atleast he has good aspirations. haha. Way to go guys!

Halloween

It was time again for our annual Halloween party. We had such a great time and there were some really great costumes too. There were some dissapointments though when my pumpkin didn't turn out as planned. I tried to carve a Yoda and managed to punch out his eyes, but that's just how I roll I guess. If you can't tell from the pictures Gregg was the prize patrol and I was the receiver of the Publishers Clearing House check. I hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Go Utes!

This year we joined the MUSS, thanks to the "hook up" from Scott and Belinda. Sometimes we feel like we fit in the crowd, that is until they do some chants that we've never heard of. Maybe one of these days we'll learn them, or at least memorize the school song. We have a good time though, unless the occasional drunk is bumping into us or yelling in our ears the entire game. I'm done!

With Gregg being back in school and busy with his new job, I was asked to mow the lawn this week. No big deal right? Well I decided to pull a few weeds and I found a snake skin. Unfortunately this is not unusual in our backyard, but still it always makes me jump. Well, then I got a little nervous to mow the lawn as you can imagine, but I went ahead anyway. We have just a little push mower and I gets stuck in ruts from time to time. Well, this happend and again and I just kept trying to push when all the of the sudden I saw what the problem was....A SNAKE stuck in my blades! The blades of coarse are not strong enough to kill it so it slithered right past my foot and I screamed for all the neighbors to hear. I immediately put the mower against the house and ran inside. Sorry, but the lawn is not getting mowed by me!

This is the snake skin that I pulled apart. Sorry, I didn't get a picture of the real one!

Wow, were you blind!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I went to the eye doctor today and I see 20/20! I haven't been able to see that well since kindergarten, so you can understand my enthusiasm. Every time I go to the eye doctor and he sees my chart he says "wow, were you blind!" He also preceded to tell me that he "hardly ever" sees results as good as mine with how blind I was. Man those Priesthood Prayers really work.
It has been a year since my lasik and what a wonderful year it has been. The best was camping where I could swim and go strait to bed without worrying where to wash my hands or keep my contacts so that I didn't lose them in the morning. What a great blessing it is to live in a time that you can get new eyes! They were worth every penny!

Yuba

These are the pictures of our one camping trip this year. It made up for our lost summer though. It was really fun to have some fun in the sun and water as you can see from these pictures.

Gregg learned how to surf behind the boat this year. He got up the very first time. The hard part was letting go of the rope and staying on the wake though. Maybe that's something he'll master in years to come.
Some candid "Alexander" moments.
Brad got this really cool shot of Hercules. He ran and ran all day long, it was the most times he has ever caught his frisbee.

This pretty much shows how tired Herc was after running all day long. If any of you know him he does not tire easily.

Boise is "Suite!"

While Gregg was in Arizona, I got to go to Idaho and spend time with my family. Most of it was spent in Boise and we had a blast. Here is a few pictures of my trip.

This is my nephew's birthday at Boondocks. (yes Boise has one too) We had such a good time that I didn't get a ton of pictures because I was playing too much. Erica has a good pic of my dad and I go-carting, which I'll have to post later. We even did laser tag a few times and we thought we had a good strategy, but we still lost each time. Maybe next time.....darn teenagers! I think the adults had more fun than the kids. I ended up with a key chain and some candy, worth ten bucks in tickets. Good ol' arcades gotta love em!

Here is some pictures from the football game we went too. We got the nice suite with hotel room and all including room service! Hence the name of my title. I really felt cool when we got to go a special way to the food only VIPs get! As Gregg would say "Booyah!"

It's summer?

Boy what a summer it has been! Most of you know Gregg got a new job and has been in licensing and training all summer. He finally came home last night from Arizona and we are so relieved! It has been a long road, with Gregg studying for eleven hours a day to taking grueling tests, but he's finally done and we can take a big breath. Anyone ready to party?

It's my birthday, but I don't even know it!

Today is Herc's 2nd birthday! I can't believe what a big boy he's becoming. They say two is when they get out of the puppy stage and calm down a lot so I'm looking forward to that. Herc blesses our lives so much. It's strange how much joy an animal brings into your home. A lot of people roll their eyes when I talk about my baby boy, but I can't help but love him and fuss over him.
Here's a few shot of Herc catching his ball. He will play forever and ever if you let him.

If you've ever played fetch with Herc you'd appreciate these pictures. I love how they capture his hands in the air. He's the only dog I've seen that tries to catch the ball in his hands.

This picture cracks me up.

Christmas time!

This is Christmas morning at the Alexander's house where we had breakfast.

Staci playing with her DS.

Lacey playing with her DS. I'm not sure if we're playing against each other or not, but we were darn excited for this present!
